The walls of the obervatory are made from galvanized/painted steel and screwed to aluminum framing. The dome rotating ring is also seen attahed to the round aluminum frame. The rotating ring rotates very smoothly. Bottom picture shows the black brushes attached to reduce enry into the dome by dust and small critters.
